Hello, Since no one is blogging i might as well do some blogging at kaccana's blog.

Currently i can see that most of us are quite down and busy with our daily lives, however let us not be affected and try to find our meaning in coming to SBM. Always remember our purpose in going to SBM is not just to make friends but also to learn something.

I know some of the people may feel a bit left out and not having people to talk to, but i think it is okay, do let those leaders know of how everyone is feeling. I hope all of us will remain strong together and not let our faith in the dharma to go away.

No matter how busy all of us are, just remember to come back to SBM. It will forever be a place open to all of us and when anyone of you have problems in your life, we will be here to help you and guide one another .

Everyday i wake up i just realized that i have nothing much in my life to do, everything is just so boring. So even when i am busy with my work, i wake up everyday and go to work and go home after that, i find it boring. This is the kind of life our captain and many other adults are going through. But real working life is just like that. I am currently having holidays and wake up everyday finding what is the purpose in life? Why do we live in this world?

I am still waiting to get an answer for that. I just want to share to those that are still studying and tell them, treasure the time you have in your secondary school days, study hard and not take friends and the things around you for granted.

Slowly as we grow up in SBM , we will understand that we come not to play but to learn something and help one another . Slowly one by one , all of us will grow up and hopefully all of us would be sensible enough.

Maybe i'm just bored so i am typing all these. But this are what i feel and hope to see everyone stay strong together and not give up on one another. If anyone has problems , and if you feel comfortable to share with me, maybe i can help you. And of course still have forestor, kaiyi , cherie , they will be able to help you as much as i can. All of us should learn from the life experiences.

I know all of you have been busy except me and xinyi,
because we are currently having our holidays :D

Anyway, i've been given the role to co-ordinate the Fish friend day with the other house,
which is upali.

Since all of you are quite busy, i would not expect you guys to put in all ,
we just need some help from you guys when there is.

And of course the "we" refers to me and xinyi la.

If you guys want to help more, may feel free to approach me and we can plan the event together.

Sentosa Camp Reunion

Hey Kaccanians,

Just sign in with your hotmail and password. I believe I sent invites to all in Kaccana to read my blog. =) However, do let me know if you all can't access it. I will also send you all online, so just nudge me. Heh.

The sentosa trip was really a fun one. I enjoyed myself alot though there were some minor "quarrels" along the way. I really felt that we have all grown up. Kaccana is growing stronger from what a few of them & I observed. Now, we should all try to come for sharing more frequently (if possible), build our bond and grow spritually.

If any one of you have any problems, always feel free to sms or ring me up. You all can go kachiao Kaiyi if you all want to. She will be more than happy. LOL LOL. And your leaders are also free! Right right? But if you think that we are all very unfriendly (which is unlikely. haha) just go to whoever you are comfortable with. We are here for one another =)

And before I end this post, I hope you guys will be more active in this blog. Just log in and post some personal reflections or anything which you all wanna share. I would be more than happy. Hehe.

actually the planning was to go KAYAK but when we were waiting for adeline CHERIE AND FORESTER REMEMBERED that we have to wear covered shoes. and obviously all of us are in slippers.. in the end we just sit at one corner and play all truth. and we did alot of sharing about each other thoughts for kaccana and many more other STUFF ((:

and we also celeberated xiaobai's birthdayy ((: hehe.

Details are as follows:

Venue: East Coast Park Mcdonalds (ECP Macs)

We will either BLADE.CYCLE.KAYAK on that day.

So people, please REMEMBER to bring EXTRA clothings + Underwear + Panties + Bra + Towel + Shampoo + Body Foam + Perfume + whatever that you all want la okie as we will be going to SBM together after that =P

Dear Kaccanians

I was shocked to see only myself, Kaiyi, Forestor and Xiaobai at the sharing session today. What happened to all of you? Got eaten by the sharks? Hmm... =/ I'm not trying to be sarcastic over here alright. Just that when I called and messaged all of you, I remembered some of you said you will be coming but it ended up to be only the 4 of us. It is rather demoralising eh.

But no worries, I'm not trying to blame anyone of you. Just hoping that in the future, you all will inform us beforehand. Just in case, we get too worried that you all might be eaten by sharks. LOL.

Anyway, I will be focusing on some serious issues and I hope none of you will get offended. Please, I'm NOT trying to blame anyone. This is just some thoughts of mine.

Firstly, I would like to thank my mentor and captain for showing me so much support all along. It was them who allowed me to hang on till now. They are the ones who are constantly "reminding" me that my aim is to bring happiness to kaccanians and to the fellow brothers and sisters in SBMY.

Kaiyi and I, we have always wanted to bring Kaccana house to a higher level but due to some problems, that did not allow us to do so. In fact, sometimes I get disappointed and feel negative. This in turn caused Kaiyi to feel emotional also. For this, I apologise to you, Kaiyi.

I understand that all of you are rather young as compared to me and Kaiyi and our opinions on certain issues are different but this was what you all told me when you all came into the house - That all of you wants to prove to others that we, Kaccana, will be able to succeed. But is that what that is happening now? When the attendace rate is dropping from 7-8 till 4? Hmm...

I remembered I was struggling badly during the last reshuffle. I was lost at the time and I did not know what to do at all. The stress level at that point of time was really at my max. I did not know how to reply Brother Hwee when he asked me why I want to keep the house. But because of what Sherman and the others said, I told myself not to give up. I will hang on to this house no matter what happens. If you all remembered, this was what you all said. "Cherie, don't let them disband Kaccana, we love Kaccana and we will commit more to the house and bring it to a higher level." But is that really so?

I'm not trying to say that all these while, only Kaiyi and I had been contributing. We know that all of you have been putting in a lot of effort despite your busy schedule and we really appreciate it. However, sometimes people will say, "Come on man, this is just volunteer work. Want to go or not, also never mind lo." But I just want you all to think about this. True to say that, this is just volunteer work, but right here at SBM, you all get to learn the Dharma with a bunch of friends whom you call brothers and sisters. This is something that we cannot just get it from the shopping mall or from the complicated outside world. How many kids nowadays actually get in touch with the Dharma? We are considered very lucky if you think about it seriously. To some of you, fun is what you all want to get. But trust me, when you get older, you will realise that fun is not that will keep you going.

I got in touch with Buddhism only when I was 16 after my O's. As compared to me, most of you are much more luckier. And its not just that I still have my mum asking me almost every week on why I'm spending so much time in SBM when I already got so much school work and outside tuition to handle.

To serve as a reminder to all, members, please have the courtesy to reply leader's messages. Leaders, please have the courtesy to inform me and Kaiyi about the attendance as soon as you all got it. As for me and Kaiyi, we will have the courtesy to message you all to let you guys know if we are attending sharing or not. I believe all of us have problems with this issue so let us give each other a chance to start things all over again alright?

As for the other issues about the house, I guess I will not blog it over here. We will dicuss it during our next outing which is coming up soon. I hope all of you will be able to attend. We really need some break, fun and... serious talks. Haha! For the camp, those who are going, please bring the consent form and $45 next Saturday. And and and, its time to collect SBM fund. $12 for 6months. People, try to bring it too alright. For those who have problems paying, just let me know.

FISH A FRIEND DAY!!!

Dear Kaccanians!!!

Yeah! It had been a LONG LONG time ever since someone blogged here. To add on, I was the one who posted the last entry too. Hmm... Blogmaster not doing her job ar. LOL LOL. Luckily you all have me in the house, if not this blog... ROT ar! Heh. Say say say, I'm so LOYAL to Kaccana. LOL!

Anyway, just a short update on what I'm currently busy with now. Your dearest Vice Captain has returned to school with a hectic schedule on every Tuesday, 9am-7pm. Super poor thing right? But its okay, the rest of the days are quite relax. Heh. But, I've got tuition so it take up 2 afternoons. Oh ya. Will be attending dance classes on Friday too. But I will see you all in SBM on Saturday. =) I'm NICE =D

So so so, what are all of you busy with? Its almost holidays. *hint hint* Blog more often and someone, PLEASE organise an outing. =P My projects will be coming in next week so I won't be able to organise. But I will try my best to attend. I'm LOYAL ok. *2nd time of announcing I'm LOYAL (3rd time) LOL*

Anyway, this Saturday (27th October '07) will be an INTERESTING one! It's FISH A FRIEND DAY!!! Please be there at 2pm sharp. Notice, it's 2pm not 3pm okay. Most importantly, don't just bring yourself. You gotta bring at least 1 friend along. It's Fish A Friend day remember???

Just as Sherman was asking people to blog, I was wondering how come he did not take the initiative to start blogging. LOL.
p.s: Haha! I SHOOT you ar Sherman =P

Anyway, apologies for not blogging here for a LONG LONG time. I'm currently holding 3 jobs and before my holidays, I was actually having my end semester exams. Gotten back my results recently and I'm glad to say that I managed to pass all. Realised that most of you have improved quite a bit. And that's really good. =) Hopefully all of you will continue to strive and not slack k. Hehe.

As for the Public Talk, I was rather happy to see most of you there on Friday, SBM. For example: Jason rushed down from school and before he could even catch his breath, he asked me how he could help. This is what I call initiative. Great job! =)
Though I wasn't there on Poh Ern Shin, Saturday, I was very happy to know that Wanzheng and Xiaowei actually went down even though they were struggling with their school work. I hope to see both of you more often yeah =D
Last but not least, kudos to all who attended the Public Talk and helped out along the way. I hope you all benefitted from it. For those who missed it, don't be upset, there will still be a chance. =)

Oh ya! Before I forget, I wish to organise a Chalet during October. I know some will be having exams but don't worry. It will be a 2 days 1 night chalet. Which means, we check in on Friday & then check out on Saturday and go to SBM together. =) Can can? I would like to take the opportunity to talk to all of you with Kaiyi and introduce the new members to all. This is because not all have met each other. And both Kaiyi and I can update you guys with the end year programs etc. So kaccanians, please let me know if you are free on the 12/13 oct. Thanks! I will inform all if there is any changes. =)

it had been a while since I last posted something here.
I apologise as I have been chiong-ing projects and studying for tests.

Anyway, camp is finally over and next up will be ORIENTATION!!! =D
This time round will be different as we ain't gonna go to Sentosa anymore.

Details will be as follows:

Venue: SBM
Time: 10am, be punctual =)
Dress Code: CEP Orange Tee / Don't wear too nice =P

We will first be meeting in SBM at 10am before leaving for Community Service at 11am. Thereafter, we will be going back to SBM for BBQ. And after the whole orientation, there might be a Kaccana outing.

I haven been hearing from anyone of you since I'm back.
So are my babies alright?

Attendance rate had been going downhill and yet no one approached me.
Hmm... =/ I'm not feeling very good about it yeah.
Seems to be like everyone had disappeared except for Sherman, Adeline, Jason and SLY.

And people, if you happened to see Wilfred, please get him to contact me.
I had been asking but no one seems to care about it.
As all of you know, he's the organiser for May's outing.
So, if there's no news from him, I will treat it as there's NO outing in May.

Hey guys!
I will be leaving Singapore for 4 days as my cousin is marrying a malaysian wife.
It will be from this Thursday to Sunday.
Don't miss me too much yeah. LOL!
When I'm not around, please look for Alvin or Kaiyi for assistance if needed.

This saturday, sharing will be as usual.
I would like the leaders to report the attendance to me on Monday 16/04/2007
Sherman is to assist Kaiyi (New Assistant Mentor) whenever she needs help on saturday.
Also, Ah Hao - overall in charge for VesakSBM will be giving a briefing on that day too, so OPEN your EARS BIG BIG arh kaccanians.
I don't wish to hear any complaints.
If not when I return, I sure knock all of your heads.

For your information, this is the FIRST project Kaccana is organising.
Kaccana is the Champion house together with Anuruddha.
Sariputta and Ananda are the supporting houses.
So, I really hope that it will be a success.
Success meaning -
I hope everyone will be happy, in the beginning, during and at the end of the project.
Everyone includes - EVERYBODY! hehe. =P
This project is also a major one as it is for VESAK so we cannot afford to screw up.
Members who are free, please volunteer to help out.

last year i thought studying is difficult..and i dont really cares for studying.and i always wanted to go ITE..hahahas..but things change..my result 4 sec 3 is 1 D7 then all U.. early this year my school got 1 camp its called the motivation camp.. from there i learnt alot i know what i wants and all like poly course like apperal design is what i want from there i got to get L1B4 15 points n now iim studying so ii did improved i improve alot wishing to improve more of it.. so just got to find what u wants and make a goal out of it...hahahas..so no matter what look for what you wants and do it well!! JIAYOUS TO ALL!

sherman & sly : this year sec 2 right? you got to choose ur subject for sec 3 so before u 2 choose any go see of what poly course that u wanted then choose the subject dun be like me choose POA end up no use!! lols.. jiiayous arr!!

hey guys.
thanks for all the concern.
my eye is alright now.

anyway, just a short update.
i'm teaching tuition almost everyday.
and free on only wednesdays & saturdays.
however, i have got some personal stuff & school events.
therefore, i might not be able to attend SBM so often from now on.

recently, i watched stomp the yard.
and it got me thinking on what i really want.
and the thing is, i wanna dance.
however, i do not have the cash and time to do it.
so shall keep it as a dream still.

i sincerely hope that all of you go think of a goal for yourself, what you really want to do and all.
and work towards it.
it is never easy.
but guys, if you try, you hold a chance.
but if you don't, you lose all.
think about it. =)

Heys...

How is everyone doing in school? the one week holidays i felt ain't enough for u yeA?
Do catch up with lost studies and ensure that u guys are really working towards ur dreams yea?

Well, for me, i'm still working as u guys went to sharing today. and i really feel stressed as the week's so heavy with projectwork and assignments.
At the same time, i think i got no hope with the girl, cos too materialistic. Scary la.
haha.

Well, at least i know i got u guys that i can put my love upon yea?
A bit mushy, but i really seldom say this. In fact, this is my first time, cos i feel its really better to care for and share with the people here that i know am walking the same spiritual path and leading their lives in the ways that should be done.

At the same time, i'm really hoping u guys do well for your studies as well as CCAs so that u are talented individuals that could understand the world's happenings with buddhism as well as do well in the various things that u are engaged in right now.

Remember, u are engaged into your studies not bcos u are forced to. Bcos its a challenge u are facing that u need to overcome, before u become a stronger person.
Sherman came to ask me instead whether i'm goin to sharing. I am touched. So did wendy, but sorry wendy, everytime u call me i seemed to be in a presentation or quiz, so cant reply and by the time i remember, i sleep le. wake up, rush projects again. Haiyo.
So sorry man.

Xiaowei, good job on your basketball selection and subject combi. am glad.
And how's my teammate VC doing? Good for law? jia you yea? nothing can beat u down.
The rest? No need to say, i expect nothing den the best for yourselves, not for me.
I made u guys vouch for it bcos i'm worried many distractions will follow.

True, i will whack u and scold u if i need to, but i know its bcos i care for u guys and girls alot to tell u these things.

Hello, everyone. How are you all today?

I know you all will be quite upset because this is not my VIRGIN post le haha, but nevermind. I felt that our group is more close after the BBQ and i feel more eager to go to the sharing session every week because i want to gather with kaccanians to learn dharma together.

Hope that i can still see you all every week and that you all will still continue to come to the sharing sessions every week. Cherie and Miss Wei, you two can try to come earlier so that our group can gather longer mam, do you know that i will miss you two when you two come so late. Haha, kidding la, exactly, i miss everyone of you. Lols.

Cherie, you must try not to let them touch kaccana hor cause i want to be with you all. I felt that it was a very right choice not to change group that time. If i were to change group, i will not know if i will be a happy person now.

Let me tell you this, i did not want to join this SBMY camp at the beginning because i did not want to take leave again from my job for the camp because i had already took leave to go to a camp at Ngee Ann Poly one week before the SBMY camp as i afraid that i will be fired for taking so much leave. But two days before the camp, i was fired because i fall asleep when working. Haha. The next day, i called my friend and he persuade me to join this camp because they say it is very fun, but i cant find the teacher in charge of this camp in Manjusri because it was already holiday period.

But the day before the camp, i saw the manjusri's Buddhist Interact Club teacher's car drove into the car park when i was washing my father's car. I chased after her car and i asked her about this camp. I know her because i was a manjusri student and i was waiting for my O- Level results. She said that there is a place left as a manjusian cant go to the camp at the last minute, so i tell her that i wanted to go and she gave me the consent form and she said that i will be told which group i will be in on the next day which was on the camp day itself.

So i followed her instruction and went to the camp the next day. I truly enjoyed the camp and so i decided to join SBM at the second last night of the camp. I feel that all this is organised for me by the Buddha. Maybe it's true and my friend told me that the buddha wanted to change me to a better person because i was quite naughty that time and i also quarral and fight with my father because we two are like enemies, my mother even said that my action and the way i talk is nothing different from a gangster. But after going to SBM, i became a better person and i seldom quarrel with my father anymore and had control myself of saying valgaurities. My friends know that i always quarral with my father and speak valguarities last time. Haha.

Cherie, i saw you at the first day of the camp at the PAC at the beginning of the camp in the morning , you were asking my friend whether did he go to the previous camp because you find him familiar, i was just sitting beside him when you spoke to him, the person is Alex, i dont know whether you remember him anot or you can try to recall the moment, i think you were wearing a black T-shirt and a red pants at that time.

I will try to attend the sharing sessions next time although i think that i will be quite busy when Poly starts. Hope that kaccana will be more and more united. Hope that everyone can be happy and stay healthy. I think i will stop here because i said too much today. Lols.

haha.last night's conference really taught me something.
actually i have some problems with my mother.
but after last night conference, it set me thinking.
And i think i got the solution.
Solution to FAMILY PROBLEMS.
1)Patience-its very hard to communicate with them without any Patience. :)
2)Sacrifice-haha.like cherie,she stayed up late just to have a look at her parents n tok to them.haha.sacrifice means like giving up ur sleep time or going out time just to spend time with them.the worse scenario is for u to die for them.haha. :)
3)Respect-when they are speaking u don speck.then automactically they will listen when u speak.try not to do things that they don like.haha.~if somebody deos something u don like,u will also feel something right~haha.same for our parents.:)

haha.this is my reflection loh.haha.
sometimes when u n ur family sit down n talk,u can really solve a lot of problems.
trust me. :) i had already tried it n it works.haha. :)

its good to see more and more attending sharing.

anyway, today's attendance including mentor was 8.
glad that we managed to maintain at that level.
plus I can communicate with you guys more.
was online chatting to some kaccanians.
yeah, got to know more stuff and guess we are more bonded.
hope all will be well and happy ya.

oh ya, something to make you guys happy.
some sbmyians commented that kaccanians are very bonded. yeah! =))
so continue being bonded ya.
and yes, one thing to remind all.
its okay to talk to other sbm people ya,
you all gotta know more people in sbm and not just stick to kaccana.
not that its not good, but remember, sbm is one big family. =))
so we should all get together. =))

it will be steamboat at Marina.

Hey Kaccanians.

Its been nice to be able to have a blog and to converse with u guys over here, even though how much busy i am.
I feel that somehow, these periods have seen how this small house has grown abit into a stronger one, with 10 active members.
I'm glad to have taken the captaincy role and with my team mate, Cherie's help, we really hope to bring happiness in the dharma to you.

Remember, no matter what happens, the teachings of the lord Buddha will always be part and parcel of our everyday life.

Since its my first post, and just to sidetrack, i really enjoyed the BBQ. the fact that we could enjoy it together really helped to bond us together. And i'm encouraged by the fact that u guys put in effort to put in your first posts too.

So in this case, let me tell u one story and recent incident that happened to me in school. Something i hope that could help u guys reflect upon situations that may happen to u guys too.

Relationships have always been something that u guys look forward to, no matter how tough it is.
Sometimes, it doesn't come easy, and u know u would have to bring forth your courage to be together, even under lots of external pressure.

I felt an affinity with this girl in school, rather in Hall. And felt really great whenever i'm with her. Rather ,contented just by her presence.
But due to the girl's confusion with her thoughts, she can't seem to determine what she really wants in the relationship.
U know, sometimes many external factors could affect a single relationship.
U talk about friend's pressures, materialism, etc.

I did not think too much about the following external factors, as i really do know that its just between me and her, and no one else that knows the clear picture.
Recently, i just got to found out that she had some feelings for my very good friend too. It was painful for me. However, it had cleared up soon enough, and all i knew was that of her statement , 'I guess i know what i wanted.'

Hopefully, and i can only hope that happiness can slowly ensue from that.

U need not hope for happiness to come to u, u must really work for happiness. U can start, not only by loving the person that u feel for, do love people like your parents, your friends and yourself, which is the most important.

Never ever leave yourself out of the equation. When u are talking about love.

hey guys. its like 4am in the middle of the night morning and me and cherie are still awake LOL..
today nothing muchh happen except the surprise cake didnt really turn out to be a surprise but well... nbm LOL
besides the satay saurce everything is fun and fine...

well i m such a pathetic human that just... eat and... slack and... eat the whole time!! but hey! i did risk my life to test out food for u guys x)) i m still nice. YAY. LOL.i wonder will my stomach give me problems tmr.. hmm...

anyway, i just read the previous things posted by you all.
yup, im apologetic about the absence of me from sbm recently.
yea, it's true i have commitment outside.
have just moved to a new JC and have been trying to settle down there plus each time, there's things which crop up.

despite that, hope you guys appreciate it that i made my way down to sbm yesterday straight after my camp. cos yea, initially i wanted to go home straight to catch my sleepless night during the orientation.
for future days, i cant promise that i will always be active for sbm due to school work and all cos i guess JC work are rather hectic, espcially in JJC and all.
yup, i'll still try my best to attend sbm. but hope you guys can forgive me in the future should i reach there late or leave earlier.
currently, im working every saturday at boonlay till 2pm. so yea, when i reach sbm, it'll be take time.
should i leave earlier, it can be because of my family things. yup, cos i really treasure outings with my family due to the little time we could have for each other.

yup, hope you guys will understand my absence more and yup, im sorry (:

we had fun. we ate, we laughed, we talked, we celebrated.

i enjoyed myself, really.
everything was soooo fun and this barbaque was a success.

hope we can get more and more bonded as time goes by and can open up to everyone more.

ok abt the sundy BBQ riite so far i only get respond from sherman alvin cherie han hui wendy sly i need the reply ASAP!!! n the time ii need to know what time u all free..so far all is anytime only cherie is night free so if there is no problem with u all i will put it at night...n yarr should be paying $10 first cuese i dont know need how much..n i need to get the money on SAT!!!so far still ok..for people still having exams...ALL THE BEST...nothing much to sae lerrhs..adeline stops here...

hmms adeline is here to blog ler..hahhas..todae the good hse visit wif adeline the survival! wahahs...ok todae der hse visit went wif ananda 6 anandians n 4 kaccanians...hms..thn we go jason hse first n we got there zheng lin n ernest talk to jason mother..so the rest of us were just outside in living room playing??wahahas..okok..thn aft tat jason went away..to tuitionn..hms n went to han pei n han hui house aft tat han hui also go liiao kaccanians left me n wendy sadded..ok thn we go back SBM hav out dinner there n thn we were playing games but half way thru wendy went off to work so adeline is the survival!!! lols...crappiing..ok thn ernest say go to our own hse n thn i m the onli 1..thn i go be part time rahulians hahas..played the games..n lastly we have YU SHENG n noe wad...KACCANIANS mus remember...ernest 4 get kaccana exist!!! hahas...he called all houses but not kaccana..haiiz sadded lolx..ok new year celebration is over n here comes the exams..everyone jiayous arr!! must past your exam with flying colours!! n lastly..BBQ is coming upp...hmms..so adeline stops here juz crappiing....
